The Target Audiences

An important element of the research was to identify key target audiences for our future campaigns and messaging, in order to maximise their impact and economic benefit, while minimising cost.

Those identified reflect other key research findings about (a) external targeting to be limited in the main to the Northwest, and (b) the need to place much greater emphasis on targeting internal audiences within the Borough :

- Local people and businesses

- Day visitors from within a 1.5 hour drive (in the family, grey, young singles segments)

- The Group Travel market

- Property developers and investment intermediaries

- Potential inward investors and local businesses looking to expand.

- Key regional stakeholders (e.g. The Mersey Partnership and NWDA)

 - The regional Media – mainstream and specialist.
